How Much 1 Ton of Topsoil Covers

• Coverage Depth: Depends on how thick the topsoil layer is spread.
• General Guidelines:
  • 1 inch thick: Covers approximately 300 square feet.
  • 2 inches thick: Covers approximately 150 square feet.
  • 3 inches thick: Covers approximately 100 square feet.
• Conversion Notes:
  • 1 ton of topsoil is roughly 0.75 cubic yards, depending on soil density.
  • Always account for soil compaction and settling after placement.
